Nobody needs to know anything beforehand and nobody needs to book. Come by, look around, and if it suits you, stick with it.

Your first visit
Thursday evening or Saturday morning, just turn up. You do not need to bring anything or have a plan. Maybe you only want to look around, maybe chat, maybe talk through an idea that has been on your mind for a while. That is a good enough reason to come. Costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Getting shown the machines
Before you use a machine on your own for the first time, we show it to you. For most of them that is quick. For the saw, the mill and the laser we take more time, because more can go wrong. After that you can use the machine on your own, even when nobody is standing next to you.

If you can and want to carry more
LakeLab is not an association yet, so there is no membership card. What there is, is a yearly contribution that pays for maintenance, spare parts and new machines. You pick what works for you.
The amount is your own call. Nobody checks, and if money is tight right now, talk to us.
Machines
| Machine | per hour |
|---|---|
| Hand tools, saws, sandblasting, parts washing, electronics, soldering, manual mill | free |
| FDM 3D printers and the small resin printer | 0.50CHF |
| Large resin printers | 1.–CHF |
| Laser and CNC mill | 1.50CHF |
| Injection moulding | 4.–CHF |
Per started hour of runtime. Material comes on top, so filament, resin, sheet material, cutters and saw blades. Bring your own or buy it here.
Anything you operate by hand is covered by your contribution. Anything that runs for hours on its own has an hourly rate. It covers electricity, wear and spare parts, nothing more. Whatever is left over goes towards new machines.
Material
Bring your own material or buy it here at cost. We usually have filament, resin and sheet material in stock.
